"If you want more love, why don’t you say so?"
— I’m not the biggest John Mayer fan, as I only know around five of his songs. “Heartbreak Warfare” is the latest addition to those songs, and it’s one of the few I really like. It’s sad how we tend to equate wanting to feel loved, or voicing out the need for it, as a weakness. I know it’s something that’ll make us feel vulnerable, but I think it’s high time we see it differently. I think we should actually commend ourselves for recognizing our need for it. So many people get eaten up by their own feelings, denials, and refusal to accept things because of this notion of weakness and “being needy”. I think it’s a brave thing to do…asking for love, or at least recognizing the need for it. I know it’s easier said than done, but I really hope we can all get ‘round to just doing it. (via medicole)
